SRIPADA PILGRIMAGE


An unforgettable experience in my life is the pilgrimage to sripada. 

Sripada located in the area between the rathnapura and nuwra eliya mountain.

The footprints of the Buddha are located on this 2243-meter-high mountain peak.

The travel season is from December to May.

There are virious routes to climb the siripa peak. We travelled on the Hatton-Nallathanni route.

We started the journey at night.

My family. friends. and neighbours joined me this journey.

A darkness, the cool wind, and the light bulbs added a strange beauty the environment.

Monks, we have be travelled up wards.

We rested along the way and set off again.

At dawn we want to the top of the mountain.

Everyone gathered to watch the sunrise rising from the dark sky.

As the sun rose the surrounding mountains sparkled, it was a beautiful sight.

I have worshipped the feet of load Shiva four times.

A journey that i want to go back to again and again, a journey that i look forward to every time.

Stop thinking about every thing and meditate. Spending time with friends and sharing  happiness. Keeping one's feelings to one self.
